This sytem has been modified by the European Parliament on December 15, 2015, and the modifications will be enforced on March 26th, 2016. Please note the following major changes : Name change : the  Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (OHIM) will be renamed the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), and the Community trade mark (CTM) will be renamed the European Union trade mark (EUTM). Fee changes : the official fee no longer covers up to three classes. This will lower your fee if your trademarks covers only one class of goods or services Representation change : a graphic representation of the trademark is no longer required. It will be easier to protect non-traditional trademarks, such as holograms and scent marks. Change of the identification of goods and services : following the IP Translator case, now the identification of goods and services shall be clear and precise, and will now be interpreted literally.
